The facility in which the clinic is located has a fully equipped veterinary laboratory used for blood analysis and in house radiology as well as more routine diagnostic capabilities.
Staff members include Bridget, Cloey, Jessica, Samantha, and Shelia.
Clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8am - 6pm, and Saturday 8am - noon. Appointment hours will vary.
After hour emergency service will be referred to Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency Service. Their phone number is (813) 265-4043, and they are residing in the same building as Animal Alternatives.
Due to the time needed to fully understand you pet and his or her condition, appointments are required. (If you have an emergency please call before coming in so we can be better prepared to assist you. ) To ensure that your appointment time is used as effectively as possible, it is best to bring a synopsis of any pre-existing health issues and a copy of your regular veterinarian's records. If it is necessary for you to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can use this time to help other patients. A missed appointment fee will be charged if more than one appointment is missed or not cancelled 24 hours in advance. House call appointments are available on a limited basis for house bound clients or patients. Follow-up or re-assessment appointments may be done in clinic or by a scheduled phone consultation.
The fees are based on diagnostic and treatment procedures as well as the time needed to thoroughly analyze your pet's condition in order to develop a comprehensive treatment plan. An estimate of expected costs is available on request. A deposit will be required before any major procedures are performed. Fees are payable in full when the patient is released. For your convenience we accept cash, check, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Discover Card.
