2011 Drop-Off Consignment Procedures

This announcement pertains to people only who drop off consignments to our auction facility, not to the people or estates that we pick up. To find out how we operate to pick up a private or estate consignment please drop us an email to auctioneer56@verizon.net

   Due to the high demand to consign box-lots to the auction we are implementing new procedures starting for the July 14, 2011 Auction. Box-lot consignments will be by appointment only. You will be able to take one row either a top or bottom of the table. The row can handle about 25 box-lots. You can also request to have a table lot in the middle of the box-lot sale which has become poplar this past year. The table lot would have individual pieces displayed on it with either a rug or plastic table cloth on the table. 

    In order to obtain a Tuesday Drop off spot you must consign at least $500.00 worth of items. You can reserve this spot by emailing me the week before the sale and I will give you a time to drop it off. If you do not have at least a $500.00 consignment you will not be able to reserve this spot for Tuesday.

   To drop off smaller box-lot consignments will be by appointment only for Wednesday the day before the auction. To obtain a spot you will have to call us 7:00pm the night before drop off at 732-951-2100. If we have room in the building for your consignment we will take your reservation for Wednesday drop off.

   We will no longer jam hundreds of box-lots in our back room to bring out at the end of the sale. This part of the sale is neither good for the consignor or for us. It comes up past 9:00pm and buyers do not get a chance to preview these items. It is also hindering buyers from the main sale. We also ask that if you do bring in box-lots that you do bring enough to fill a whole table.

   We will no longer take consignments of 3-6 box-lots because these small consignments are harder to track with our numbering system. When dropping off box-lot consignments we ask that you bring your own flat boxes to display your items in. These can be obtained at a local liquor store or Costco. We spend many hours and money to obtain these flats for our estate work. If you must use ours there could be a fee tacked on to your consignment.

   When you drop off we will assign you a lot number and we ask you to use our stickers for putting your lot number on it to ensure you are properly paid for your items. We color code your lot and have special Bodnar’s  Auction stickers for individual items.

   There is no limit on consignments for the Jewelry room, Main Auction, Specialty Sale or Outside Sale.

   The outside furniture sale policy is; we will take any drop off consignment however if it passes you will be expected to take it that night or face dumping fees.  We do ask that you do refrain from dropping off: a single odd chair, furniture falling apart, laminated furniture, contemporary furniture, bedding, used sofas, TV’s, TV cabinets and oversized wall units.
