Company History

From 1976 to 1986, we operated in Hillsborough County primarily as Certified Class A Masonry Contractors, subcontracting with many local general contractors and building residential and commercial work.

In the early 1980s, we provided the labor and technical expertise to build more than 350 apartment units in North Tampa for Ward Properties and homes for Joe Lackey Homes in Clairmel City and Valrico, Florida.

In 1986, we became licensed general contractors and incorporated Murphy Construction. Since that time, we have constructed many custom homes, and also have done additions and remodeling jobs throughout Hillsborough County. We also do commercial work including design, engineering, site work, and building the entire project to completion.
