CHOOSING A BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE PROVIDER

Selecting a behavioral healthcare provider may be one of the most important decisions you will make.   At Paoletta Counseling Services, we want to provide you with any and all the information you may need to help you make that decision.  When you have chosen your healthcare facility, you will work together with the treatment providers there to improve the quality of your own life or the life of your loved one.  Trust and confidence are essential to getting the most out of your treatment.  Below are questions you may want to ask about any facility/ treatment provider you are considering.  For your convenience, we have answered the questions related to our facility or indicated where the information can be found on this website.  We also invite any additional questions you may have to aide in your decision making process.

 

What treatment, care or services does the facility offer?

Paoletta Counseling Services offers a wide range of outpatient mental health services.  Select "Services Offered" for more infomation.

  

When will my appointments be scheduled?

Select the "Services Offered" tab then scroll down to "Hours Of Service".

 

What is the organization’s process for receiving and resolving complaints?

PCS's process is listed on "Patients' Rights" under "Grievance Procedure" which gives information related to filing a written complaint or sharing a verbal complaint.  The process we take to resolve any issue is also outlined.  It is very important to us that clients are fully satisfied with services.

 

Can your family or friends be involved in your treatment?

It's your choice!  No one can be involved in or have access to any information related to your treatment without your written consent, however with your permission, family or friends can be involved in your treatment planning and even in your treatment.

 

Do staff members appear to respect and understand cultural differences?

Staff at Paoletta Counseling Services are required to have annual training in cultural diversity.  During the Intake process, clients recieve a letter regarding Non-Discrimination in Services.

 

Does the organization explain the rights and responsibilities of clients?  Are copies of these documents provided?

Client Rights and Client Responsibilities are reviewed and signed during the Intake process. These are also available in our Client Handbook.

 

What will the out-of-pocket expenses be?

Paoletta Counseling Services will inform you of your insurer's coverage for mental health benefits.  Any co-pay is due at the time of service.  A current Fee Schedule is posted in our office and is also available in the Paoletta Client Handbook. 

 

Have others been served by the treatment provider with similar needs?

Paoletta Counseling Service offers treatment staff with a diverse array of specializations to meet your needs. Every effort is made by our Intake Department to create the most therapeutic match possible.
