Manufacturing Process

First we cut our heavy-gauge steel with a laser shape cutting machine. These precision-cut pieces are then bent to our exacting specifications. The newly bent pieces are then welded together and the edges are ground smooth. The assembly now gets powder coated with the customer's choice of color and finish. Locks and other moving parts are now attached to the painted frame. Next, we apply a decal with a unique serial number. Installation instructions, warranty card, customization form, installation hardware, and contact information are then placed inside each unit. The outside of each lockbox can be customized with the customer's logo and/or operating instructions. The finished lockbox is now ready to be packaged and shipped.

Due to our high tech engineering process, we are currently able to mass produce 1000s per month.

Features and Benefits

Customization:
Our lockboxes can be customized at our factory with any logo. If you buy blank units in bulk and want to customize for each of your customers, we have made it simple. We have provided all of our drop box specifications to a sign company. You may request a customization form which will allow you to quickly and easily work directly with the sign company to customize your blank units.

Colors:
We offer a wide variety of colors. Pick out your desired color from the color chart page of our Web site.

Simple to Install:
We include an easy-to-follow instruction page with every lockbox that we sell. Mounting screws and all hardware required for installation are included.

Warranty:
Each safe sold by Caper Lock carries a one-year factory warranty against defects on parts and workmanship, including labor. A warranty registration card is included with every unit we ship.

Quality and Security:
We use only heavy-duty 7-, 10-, and 16-gauge steel in our lockboxes. Our high-security Medeco locks are pick and frill resistant. Keys need proper authorization to be duplicated.

Uses
Our lockboxes are currently in use at major car rental agencies and at airports across the country. Our products make it easy for car dealerships, hotels, and repair garages to safely and securely receive keys after hours. Companies with service vehicles utilize our lockboxes for their employees to drop-off keys if they return the vehicle after the business has closed. A slot large enough for mail can be substituted for the key slot which makes them ideal for any business that needs a secure drop-off. Guests can deposit both keys and rental checks into one secure location.

About the Inventor
Ronald Eng, owner of Casper Lock, has been in the security and locksmith industry since 1982. During his many years in these industries, he has broken into nearly every type of lock imaginable. This knowledge has helped Ron design key dropboxes that are difficult for even a veteran locksmith to break into.

Ron partnered with friend Dwight, a mechanical engineer with over 35 years of experience, for his extensive machining background. This engineering knowledge coupled with Ron's security knowledge make for a winning combination that can meet almost any custom security need.
